Charge off occurs 180 days after last payment.
Lawsuits can follow at any time- depends on the creditor.

There is often no relationship between the dollar amount owed and the intensity of the collection effort.

Larger companies are usually more willing to work with you than the smaller ones - department stores are frequently more likely to sue.

BK will discharge all debt- and any civil lawsuits that may come your way-
