Hi again,

Just looked at the Minn landlord-tenant law--

If you broke your lease, then you would responsible for the unpaid part of the lease.

However, you were evicted. On first reading, I did not find anything that addressed the issue of the remaining part of the lease.

So, the landlord terminated the lease (through eviction)so that should also terminate any contractual obligation on your part. They already kept your deposit, so they have part of the money.

IF they should decide to sue you and actually file suit, please post and I will do a little further research.
