Thanks for all the help......I am going to attempt to get the debt back to DOE for a reasonable payment plan.....i read something on their site about payment plans by collectors causing hardship.....the pymt plan offered me was 50% of our take home pay for the month!!the other 50% would be the mortgage pymt!......hmm zero left for lights, food, gas, etc! Dont think so! Thanks again.
