I have a job offer pending credit verification. Employer wants to know why I have not paid a deliquent debt of about $18000(after CA additions) debt. The actual debt is about $14000. This debit is 6 years old. I live in Maryland. SoL has passed.I did not pay because I did not have money. I have no judgements etc.
My questions are How should I response?
Also, Date reported on the Credit report for one of the debts is May 03. I made last payment to OC in june 97. Is SoL clock reset to another 7 years? Thanks for help
