What kind of job is it where its anyone's business WHY you haven't paid on a debt ?? Be truthful .. you fell on hard times, or whatever, and didn't have the money to pay it. Tell them you've been in a dispute over it.. how are they gonna know ? You don't have to pay a debt that cannot be proven or that's in dispute.. and once the SOL runs, its entirely voluntary as far as you paying it. Are they going to ask you to PROVE you've disputed it ?? Probably not....
