I have recently been contacted by NAFS and they wanted to settle my account with Sherman Aquistion/Chase Bank, and they conviced me to agree to 3 payments of 984.00 over a 3 month time period. I thought I could do this but after trying to come up with the first 984.00 and not being able to the check did not clear (they did check by phones) In all honesty I thought I could but there is no way to do this.
the gentleman that I have been talking to convinces me that I can and when the time comes the money isnt there. I have contracted with a Credit Counseling agency and will start 1 November 2003. NAFS is threating Litigation for the Check that did not clear. I have tried and failed to come up with the money. What can I do. I have contracted with the Credit Counseling to pay 250.00 for 20 months this I can afford but can not come up with the 984.00 they are asking for in a 30 day period. At this point I am afraid to call him back because he will convice me to do something I can not deliver. Please help
can they file papers after I have gone to Consumer Credit Conseling?
