You have to delete your account, then sign up again all over again in order to get a 'current' report.

You see, they will show you the same report for an entire month. Get your report, cancel, then sign up again in a few days or whenever you feel the urge to see another up-to-date one.

Also, if you look at the last 'updated' or last 'reported' dates, they will give you a clue of how often this company has been reporting your derogatory stuff. If it is a while back, what you get deleted may not be put nack on for a while, if ever. It seems that most of the larger banks (except Sears) will give up after 5 or so years and not even bother to report, so if you by chance do get it deleted, it will most likely stay deleted - for good.

Scare tactic? = yes. Every company, big or small will use scare tactics, because they are statistically effective. Just as these horrid collection agencies will use "scare tactics" to collect on 20 year old debts on 80+ year old people who tend to be gullible (or forgetfull), sometimes even paying debts they have already paid or debts that are ancient and way past the SOL.

I used to be one of these gullible (sp?) people, until I stumbled across this site. For me, this site may very well be the most resourcefull thing I have ever come across in my life. Listen to the people here who post most frequently (WhyChat, LadynRed, Scott, Keyser Sooze, Drew, etc..) They will help you more than you can possibly imagine.

Remember, ignorance is the condition of being uninformed, not stupidity. I usually only answer questions that I know for sure or am at least 90% sure of. I am still 'ignorant' for the most part on all the rules of credit and credit law.
