Date open not applicable

I have a charge off account from capital one. I last used the card in 98. On my credit report it says the account is open and the card is charged off. but there is a "N/A" on the date opened. And they haven't reported anything in atleast 2 years. Will this stay on my credit report indefinitely. Any advice appreciated.
