I have recently started checking CR's and have some problems on TU. Only negative is as follows:

Collection Record
Pilgrim Capital Managemt # XXXXXXX
Placed for Collection
Updated 5/2003
Placed 4/2003
Status as of 5/2003: collection account
Balance 3932
Most owed 1645
Past due 3932
Open account
Individual account
Bank of New York

I haven't had a credit card or loan in ten or more years but did have some financial problems about ten plus years ago. I have never had any contact from Pilgrim or Bank of New York. Is it possible this is an old Mastercard or other?

The TU report also shows a soft inquiry from 2002 from:
Subscriber Name
Fin Coll Agency

Does this sound familiar to anyone?
