I have received a letter saying that a collection agency has been assigned and that they want to collect on a debt that I owe a credit card company..they also have given me 30 days to notify them, what do i do? My credit is seemingly ruined and I'm looking to get it back on track desperately..I've got numerous questions, such as what happens if it goes past the 30 day mark? what should I tell this collection agency, should I call the # listed on the letter? what's this statute of time I hear being mentioned? Please any help is greatly appreciated, I just need some better direction as far as what I should do.. thanks to all those who respond...
