True, but in a lot of cases it isn't the money its the principle. If the CA breaks the law they need to be held accountable, even if the debt is valid. I don't see how the clinet is worse after winning the case. Sure lawyers make the most, especially (sp) in class actions. Yes it would easier to talk to the CA, but a lot will not listen. They want money now and they are not going to take no for an answer. I will agree not all are like this though. For instance, a CA said I owed DirecTV. I have always had Dishnetwork, yet they would not listen. I sent validation and they ignored and continued calling. I involved the Texas AG and they ignored them. I sued and they finally did what they were supposed to. It turns out the debt belonged to someone in another city with the same name and middle initial. From what I see this happens a lot with some CA's, but not all. There are some here that fall under this and a bunch that don't. A lot of the information given here falls under this. I don't agree with everything that is said but some makes real since.
