Summons/Answer/Request to Dismissal

I live in GA and answered a summons on 1 Aug. on a bad debt stating-Debt not valid. Next on 20 Aug I get a request for admissions in regular US mail. I did not answer these. Last week I filed a request for dismissal due SOL. No trial date has ever been set since my orginal answer of 20 Aug. What happens next? Will I have to go to trial to ask for dismissal
