In Aug. I received a summons for a cc debt of 9691.00 from Credigy Rec. They said the original creditoe was Fleet - then it was taken over by First Select - then sold to Credigy. I called them & settled before it went to court for 2691.00 & 350.00 a month for 20 months. I have made the payments up to this point. Now I look on my credit report & it shows 2 bad accounts one from 1st Select & one from Fleet - different acct#'s same amount. I got the summons out & looked at it & it says - defendant entered a written agreement with Fleet bank & mentions acct.# that was 1st Select different# not the original Fleet # - Should I continue to pay this? This info is not correct & now I have an additional bad account on my CR. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
