This is usually what happens if the debt is more than a few years old. Another LIR success story! From another site: I Won.... What is the name of your state? GA I just wanted to take the time to thank everyone on this site for the priceless information that they give. Yesterday, 10/30/03 was my court date in which I was being sued by Midland Credit. I submitted my answer 9/20/03 CRRR asking for validation: receipts with signature proving I made the purchases, accounting from date opened proving the balance, copy of contract bearing signature and copy of contract proving they are authorized to collect and/or take legal actions. On my court date, none of this information had been received. Their lawyer asked me how much would I be willing to pay. I smiled and said the entire balance, as soon as I receive proper validation. My case was dismissed. You guys just saved me $3000.00 dollars. Let this be an example for all, ALWAYS ASK FOR VALIDATION. Again, thank you all and a VERY SPECIAL THANKYOU to Ladynred.
