There is a default judgement pending.....i have a motion to vacate in to be heard this thursday 11/6 .....i never had the chance to get validation.....plus when the summons came we didnt know what it was so called the collector on it and they said you dont have to do anything just "pay it"....so we didnt respond....then of course just got the default judgement (this all literally happened within a day of my discharge from hospital having c-section)....so anyway...
so now i found out that wells fargo sold the debt to eskanos and adler and i guess they assigned it to solomon and solomon because that is who brought suit against us for the judgement......now i am mad i agreed to pay them ( they agreed to a reduced settlement).......it isnt going to help my credit one bit.......i am in Massachusetts and the SOL isnt up.......i havent given them the money yet.....i am getting the entire file from the court tomorrow and was hoping to find something in there that would make the judgement void.
any suggestions or am i just screwed and out $4000 for nothing?? The oc is reporting the account as charged off. and they wont even talk to me about the debt cuz they say they dont own it anymore.
thanks
