It can only remain for 7 years from the 1st delinquency preceeding charge-off. Someone, could be SCAMCO, has illegally re-aged the debt.

Dispute it as obsolete and illegally re-aged. You have the proof in that old credit report !

As for SCAMCO - Scott will be along to help you with them, but do NOT talk to them and do NOT pay them, the debt is WAY,WAY outside the SOL in every state. Send them WhyChat's SOL letter and tell SCAMCO to crawl back into the cesspool they crawled out of.
