Lawyers fees vary by state and the individual lawyer. Consultations are free- look up the lawyers in your city on www.naca.net and speak to all of them.

Have your information in front of you so you can answer their questions. On www.naca.net the lawyers list their areas of expertise, so you can go by that as well.

If this is past sol, you may have a counterclaim- your credit card agreement provides for the winning party to get attorneys fees paid by the losing party.

If this happens again, file the motion to dismiss before you answer the lawsuit - then if you lose that, you will have some time to answer after the ruling is made on the motion to dismiss.
