I sent a validation request to the lawyer after they tried to scare me into settling for $2700 when I knew I owed only half that. In fact it showed I owed less than that on my credit report....

It got ignored.

I sent a second request.

It too was ignored.

I faxed AND sent a validation request to Collect America thinking maybe the lawyer kicked it back to them after my letters.

It has been ignored. At no point in th elast two and a half months has the debt been put "in dispute" on the CR. In fact it was reported again in July (after the lawyer received my first validation request)

Their time is almost up - the 13th on this month for Collect America's validation letter. Since it would be 3 months since my original request for validation to the lawyer what do I do once this time has run out?

Estoppel? See a lawyer about sueing this guys for about 12 violations??? Write them a nice letter requesting that they take my previous payments of over $3000 as a settlement, consider the account paid in full and delete immediately???

SOL was up in september of this year. And if I understand all this right even the payments I made to Collect America and Bronson & Migliaccio doesn't reset the SOL date.
