Do you have a copy of what he signed?
Did it include a "consolidation" clause, with a waiver of his rights?

If not, he MAY be OK, what State are you in, and when did he last pay DIRECTLY TO THE ORIGINAL CREDITORS?

Get a copy of his credit reports to see exactly WHAT has been "paid" and what has not, and the dates of chargeoff.

His BK will not effect your credit after you are married, except to create a problem if you wish tobuy a home. It will likely be better in the long run, IF he is within SOL or if he signed some new consolidation loan agreement for him to declare BK now, before you are married.
