I noticed in another response about a lawsuit you suggested a reduced settlement agreed upon thru court mediation......how does one go about doing this? and once a default judgement is done is it too late? what if a motion to vacate is granted can it be done after that?
we reached a settlement with the attorney for less than the judgement and she says she will have the case dismissed after receipt.....she said not to mention what we settled for in the hearing for the motion to vacate that is being heard on thursday. She is the enemy so she wont explain why...i am just curious.
we are in massachusetts and it is within SOL and a valid debt.
