I've read the laws on recording conversations and feel comfortable with how it works. My question is, what kind of recording device do I need for my phone? I have a hand-held microcassette recorder but not sure that would work. Also, can anyone give me a sample script to use when you want to record a creditor or CA? I've read bits and pieces here that you should casually mention the date and such but I was wondering if someone could provide a comprehensive guide. Should you notify them upfront that it's being recorded? I've said that in the past as a scare tactic and they hung up. I fear I may need it soon.
