You have increased your utilitzation ratio by using the card more and carrying a higher balance. You've also lowered your debt to income ratio by carrying more debt. All things MBNA, or any card issuer, will hang you for and drive up your rates. Even if you're never late but late on some OTHER card, they will bump your rates. Your old card agreement won't hold water either, they sneak in those term changes in with your bill and by keeping and using the card, you automatically agreed to the changes.

You're stuck unless you want to try begging with a goodwill letter.
