You are NOT limited to 30 days to demand validation !! You can do it ANY time, don't let them bluff you on that. Doesn't matter WHEN they BOUGHT the account, SOL runs from the ORIGINAL DEBT. SOL does NOT run from charge-off, it runs from first delinquency leading to charge-off. If you went delinquent in 12/96, then the SOL EXPIRED in 12/2002 !! 6 months BEFORE the charge-off date is when the SOL would start. In most states, making a payment of any kind after charge-off does NOT restart the SOL !! If there was no new written agreement to pay, they had crap.
