Actually, if you wait a couple of days, I can tell you. I went to court over this very thing on Friday.
I was sued by a CA this summer. I won that one but sued them for three violations of the FDCPA, which were all based on the CA not validating.
I went to court with the law, the FTC letters, and laid my case out. Their lawyer said little and lied a lot.
The judge is going to read everything and send me his verdict in the mail this week.
