How much is it for.

Get copies of your credit reports by mail that show the date of last activity on your accounts and the amount owed.

From there you have to figure out what you can do. YOu will have to answer though or they get a default judgment. Respond. See WhyChats site for how to respond to a summons.

You want to make them prove the case. So you should always respond but lack of knowlege is your answer. Have you requested validation yet? If not, send them a letter requesting validation of this debt. Send it certified registered reciept.

You might need an attorney.

This company makes a habit of filing a bunch of lawsuits with the purpose of getting default jugments. They usually target those people who don't respond to them or just ignore them. They figure that if they will ignore them in the early stages, they won't bother showing up for court so they can get an easy win.

That is why you always respond.
