First of all, thanks so much for the valuable information on this forum! So far I have been able to deal with my problem by researching the posts, but am getting extremely nervous with my situation, and hope you can help. I have been dealing with an atty debt collector who "was retained by his client to file suit". I sent validation letter, received back a copy of a credit card statement, to which I responded with the partial validation letter asking for original signature, listing of all charges, etc. They responded in late Oct. by stating bluntly that they had provided me with what I need to validate the debt, and another threat to sue. My dilemna is that the SOL will be up in Dec. (just a few weeks!) I live in TX. Should I just lay low and hope nothing happens until after Dec. 1, or send them another letter demanding signatures, charges, etc.? I pulled a credit report today and notice they made an inquiry last month. I would very much appreciate your thoughts on this.
