The sol TO COLLECT THE DEBT is four years from the date of last activity. The sol TO REPORT TO THE CRA is seven years from the date of charge off with 180 days being the maximum time from the date of the last payment to when the account will be considered to have been charged off whether or not it actually was. Keep your records together so that you can prove the both of the above dates. Yes, both can report.
