The first thing I would do is advise Recievable Management by certified letter, registered reciept that your exhusband is a third party and he is not entitled to know your personal business and information.

In some states, a spouse or a parent of a minor or a guardian of an incapacitated adult is not a third party and the collection agencies are permitted to discuss information with these people unless you specifically ask them not to.

However the rules are starting to change on that and in some cases, they won't even discuss the account with the person.

If your ex misrepresented himself to this company as your husband and legal spouse and obtained the information that way, then the Recievables Managment firm probably made an honest mistake in discussing this account with him.

The best way to avoid this in the future is to write a letter to all your creditors and anyone you owe and explicitly state that they are not to discuss account information with your ex husband. He is not entitled to know your business.

Good luck.
