You CANNOT, repeat CANNOT be put in jail for not paying a debt !!!!! Debtor's prison was abolished in the late 1800's. MRS is a law-breaking bunch of thieves (a member on another board sued them for FDCPA violations and WON) so do NOT let them scare you with illegal threats of jail.
