protect house from judgement

Can I lose my house if I have a judgement against me?
House is under wife's name and I quit claim it right after I lost my job and before stop making payment to credit cards. We live in California.
I quit claim the house beginning this year and now got sued by credit card last month.
What other step I should take? I really don't want to lose my house.
