Interesting. I also rec'd a letter from them for a credit card debt. However I had continued to make some pymts to the credit card company and then without an actual collection agent being involved I rec'd a notice from this company. I sent this law office a c&d from phone calls and requested information about the last pymts I made to the c/c company, but the law office said they are not in that area of customer service to do that. The fact they kept calling after I sent a letter not to, amazed me. I spoke to one of the *attorneys* there who wanted to settle with me then I asked if I could have my options in writing but he refused to do that and said I have till some point tomorrow to decide, that he cant hold off on this. Cant I contact the original c/c# company about this? Wouldnt they offer a pmyt arrangement instead? Also the amt that was written in the attorney's letter is also less than what they stated I owed on the phone, how is this possible?
