Why Chat,

Here is a very good example of why you should read the posts slower and pay attention to what the individual is trying to say.

Milly, is wondering if by removing old addresses from her credit report, if that would raise her score.

Addresses may be linked to ID theft or merged files but will not affect that individuals credit score, unless those addresses are linked to individual accounts within that persons credit report. Those accounts within her credit report may already be disputed and removed. All she is asking is, by disputing old addresses, can it raise your credit score? The answer to that is NO!!! You can remove old addresses till the cows come home and it won't raise your score!!

One good piece of advice that you did give was, "It is a good idea to opt out before disputing old addresses".
