It is not a good idea to make any deals with a CA, unless it is in writing. You said you received a Zero Balance Letter from the CA. I believe you should make copies of that letter, and send them to the CRA's that are showing a balance on this account and see if the CRA will update your report to show a zero balance, based on your letter. It would have been better if you had bargained for deletion but a zero balance is better than nothing particularly if the CRA removes the Charge-off listing.
