That's what the lady told me when I called Camco and here the email I got from the NC dept of insurance when I contacted them. She said to talk to the Attorney General's offce (can't remember who I talked to there) but that if we were contacted again to email her directly because they are having several complaints. I'm copying the email below:

Ms. Watts,
A consumer complaint alerted us to the fact that Camco was doing collection agency business in NC without the required NC permit. A cease & desist was originally sent on October 21 and then a second on October 24, 2003. It was my understanding that they were aware they could not contact any NC consumers regarding collections until they were properly licensed. I can be reached at (919) 715-0192 if you have any questions. You should also contact the Attorney General's office as well.If you have a complaint of contact after the October 24, 2003 date. I will e-mail you the complaint form to fill out and send to me with any documentation. Please let us know if this office can be of assistance to you in the future. Thank you.
