Are you a collection agency or attorney? You sound like one. I'm getting contradictory information on this board. Someone else said that the sample statements just prove that someone charged something. Another person said that this doesn't show the CA has auhtority to collect this debt, or that I even signed a contract with the creditor. How do I know this isn't identity theft which happens all the time?

All the sample letters for validation list a series of things which the CA SHOULD provided. They didn't provide these things, such as a copy of signed contract with my signature. The statement print outs they sent don't verify that the amount is correct.

Could someone like WhyChat or LadynRed please respond on this?
