Did I leave something important out? Was my post too vague? Just curious about the lack of any responses. This was my initial post:
I made arrangements to begin repayment on a lapsed account using check by phone and provided my routing number and account info. The person with whom I made the arrangements did not follow through as we discussed and instead indicated in his notes on my account that I would be sending the check by priority mail. As a result of this mishandling my account has been turned over to a collections agency that is now demanding payment in full or I will be sued. I have offered to pay the full amount to the collections agency over 5 payments and this offer was rejected. What can I/should I do next?
