Don’t pay them anything. They purchase these old debts for less than a penny on the dollar. By paying them anything, you give them more working capital to abuse other people. If everyone would freeze them out, they’d all go away. You’d be contributing to the problem of these fraudsters by paying them. If you have spare cash, donate it to a worthy charity that could make good use of your funds, and it would force these shiftless bums to get off the phones and get useful jobs.
