"assignment of account" in the law. i live in kansas and discovered from a state statute that if an account was "assigned" or "transfered" then the OC and the company the debt was "assigned" to or transferred to loses their right to garnish wages in Kansas. This would help me with my current judgment and garnishment order. If the OC will not deal with you and makes you go through a collection agency does that mean the OC has "assigned" the account to the CA? Even though the OC is listed as the creditor on the judgment? Thanks in advance.
