thank you WhyChat and LadyNRed. They included the IRS reference as if they worked with the IRS in these matter. A bit shady if you ask me. There are numerous issue with this debt. I'm sure I can get them with a few violations at least. Time to go back to reading up on the FDCPA!

P.S. Is interest of 39.64% illegal? Would my state's banking commisioner know?
