I have two situations. First, my car was repossessed in June. I talked to the creditors on the phone, explained I couldn't pay the amount to get the car back. I went to get my possession of the vehicle. Since then I have not received one notice or letter from the creditor. I have not been notified of how much my balance is, or what they did to my car.
Second, my friend just got her car repossessed. Withing 1 week, she got a letter stating how much she owed and what she could do if she wanted to buy it back, and so on.
My question is... I was told that the creditor will take me to court and make me pay the difference of what I owe on the car from what they sold it as. If this is to happen, and I still don't pay the judgement, can they put a lien on my home? My friend has the same concern.
