Thanks for the letter reference. I may use it, if needed. I don't know whether to aggressively go after these guys with threatening validation letters. Perhaps I should if their letters get more demanding, which they probably will before either sueing me or giving up. Essentially I just want to buy a couple of months time before getting on a payment plan with all my creditors, e.g. CCCS or myVesta. I'm told that if you're making reasonable monthly payments on your accounts and a creditor tries to sue, the judge will usually throw the case out as getting a judgement will just throw the debtor into a Chapter 7 or 13 bankruptcy. BTW, they sent me the first letter (you have 30 days...) in the middle of August, and then sent a collection later to me only two weeks later, asking me to settle the account voluntarily. Is this a violation of the FDCPA?
