I did a credit card transaction with a company that went backrupt before I get the whole product and subsequently went to the credit card company. The credit card company, after checking all of my documantation credited my account the whole ammount. Since this was a large charge and I had borrowed the money tp pay it off I asked for them to send me a check for the balance so that I could pay the friend back that I had borrowed the money from. they did and then 3 months later back charged my account the full amount. This was an unsecured credit card account with First USA Bank three years ago and I am still getting called once in awhile, now by some collection agency, that now says that I owe 50% more on the debt. According to what I read in their conditions of contract (the credit card company) that if I made a good fath effort to rectify a bad transaction, I don't have to pay it. Is this not an invalid debt?
