No, I do care if they come after me aggressively. I plan on being on a payment program in 1-2 months. So, I'm concerned they might sue while I'm trying to get things turned. I'm also concerned they might sue after I get onto a payment program, though I would be a little less concerned at that point since they have less chance of winning, since a good judge would see that a judgement against me would most likely just send me into bankruptcy. The thing I'm concerned is that the CA could convince the OC to sue me, since the CA is out of the picture in a payment plan scenario. I would hope that with a record number of personal bankruptcies last year (1.6 million), more judges would have the common sense of not allowing judgements in a lot of cases. I'm not a debtor who refuses to pay, just someone who is in over my head and needs creditors to work with me instead of attack me. Although the FDCPA does a lot of good in my opinion, it's still not enough. There should be laws which forces creditors to be more flexible in payment arrangements so that we don't have a country full of bankruptcies.
