My mother has received numerous phone calls and letters for me (I haven't lived there for 4 years) regarding a collection for someone with the same first and last name as me, different middle initial. I contacted the collection agency and clarified with them that it was not mine by providing my social security number, which they said did not match their records. They said they would take care of it, but several weeks later the letters started up again. I again tried to call and asked that they send me something in writing acknowledging that this is not my debt. They were very rude and said they would not do it. I am concerned about this showing up on my credit report. My father and brother have similar names and have had each others credit information show upon the wrong report.

I am currently waiting for a call back from the "supervisor" at the agency.

Is there anything i can do here?!
