These collection companies link to your data base and any time that they see activity on your report, they contact you. The best thing to do is find out the dates of service on the medical bills and prove you didn't live there. All you will need is proof of residence in terms of a copy of your drivers license from the state you live in, a copy of a utility bill showing residence and concerns.

Then you send a certified dispute letter to the collection agency with your proof and tell them you have the wrong person. Make copies of all things.

Then OPT OUT. By opting out, you go to the Equifax site and use their opt out number. By opting out, it will prevent the credit bureaus from selling your information to marketing companies and to bottom feeding collection agencies.

You just now need to dispute it with the collection agency. Send them also a cease and desist letter.
