It appears JBC has acquired checks from "Marlin Cross." This is, in fact, Marlin Integrated Capital. Their website is www.marlinusa.com. The chairman is Warren Dedrick. Jack Boyajian, head of JBC, has entered into some sort of agreement with Warren Dedrick to collect on some very old checks. It is unclear as to whether or not these checks were purchased from Dedrick, or have been placed on a contingency arrangement.

JBC is currently under state and federal investigation for a variety of offenses. Boyajian entered into a consent agreement with the FTC several years ago while operating as Goldman & Levine. The comments on this site strongly suggest he has violated the terms of his prior agreement with the FTC. The state of West Virginia seems to be leading the charge, but can the feds be far behind?

Does anyone have any concrete information on these guys?
