Is there a reason you can't just file bankruptcy? You can keep your car and your possessions. Doesn't sound like you have enough 'goodies' that the govmnt wants everything. You can do the bankruptcy yourself, as you can most legal things except trial things, felonies, etc. It's not that expensive if you do it yourself. Papers are a lot of legal jargon and if you read it carefully and slowly, you can do it. By the way, what state?
