I recently took over my mothers mortgage. It's three payments behind. I have been talking with the mortgage company on her behalf, since it's not my mortgage. The mortgage company had set me up on a payment plan. The first payment I sent in they played like they could not find it. So they threaten to foreclose on the house If I did not send in $1218.00. I was short the two hundred dollars at the time and they would not accept that. I have not received any paperwork saying that the house is in foreclosure. But the mortgage company is willing to take $3000.00 dollars from me when their saying. The total amount due to get me out of foreclosure and reinstate me is $6540.11. The mortgage person won't give me anything in writing saying that he is going to accept the $3000 for arrangement. I wanted to no if I have someone else listen to him tell me that's what he's going to accept from me,or could I tell him I'm going to tape the conversation. Will that hold up in court if they decide to foreclose on the house.
