Go to this website: www.ftc.gov and read the Fair Debt Collection Act. This is an act written by the FTC (Federal Trade Commission) and governs all debt collectors. I to am dealing with NCO, and I will be damned if they get one cent. However, in the Fari Debt Collection Act, you have done what is proper, you asked for validity of the debt. THEY MUST PROVIDE YOU WITH PROOF OF THIS DEBT UPON REQUEST. Failure to do so can result in a fine of up to and not exceeding $10,000.00 per instance. No your rights, and use them wisely.
