Good Morning all,

I am pleased to report a follow up to someone who posted here several months ago regarding being sued in small claims court.

Thanks to all of you - esp WhyChat, Lady, Patti and Keyser Soze, the poster was able to withstand the combined efforts of the lawyer, the impartial mediator, and the judge. In spite of all their attempts at intimidation, she did not cave in to their demands.

A meditation was scheduled - so told her to print out Keyser's advice and refer to it every time they asked a question. As you say, say nothing, sign nothing, admit nothing, It is their picnic let them bring the sandwiches. Well, they all got frustrated when they could not get the defendant to admit anything, so it went to court.

Interesting note here- they made daily attempts for two weeks prior to the court date to settle the case for less money. Advised not to do that- if they had a strong case, they would want it all.

So, they get to court and the judge dismissed it because they did not have adequate proof. Lawyer said they were going to drop it because it was costing them too much money.

So, the moral here - is that you can win, even without a lawyer, I know this happy ending would not have happened without all the support and advice from this board - so please let me thank you on her behalf.

And Keyser, there may really be a Santa Claus, because this was a Florida judge that made the decision. Too bad Judge Cracker isn't so fair.

I wanted you all to know what a difference you made in her life- she was almost frantic when she came to this board- thought she was going to lose the little she had left. You gave her the strength and hope to make it through. Please keep posting- you make a big difference in people's lives.

WhyChat- the biggest thanks to you for providing and maintaining this forum - and for your excellent advice.

To all of you who are having difficulties - of any kind- things will get better- don't let anyone push you into a bad decision- stop, take your time, and make the choice that is right for you.

When it seems that it is never going to stop raining, just remember this quote.

"All sunshine makes a desert."
